The Client, bareboat charterer, referred to CPS Attorneys regarding the necessity to protect his rights in the demurrage dispute with the shipowner.

CPS Attorneys specialists analyzed the laytime and demurrage calculation, provided by the shipowner, and concluded that it was insufficient. A new calculation was provided to the shipowner with reference to the relevant charter-party provisions and the Bratislava agreements, which were applicable to the charter-party.

Based on the results of negotiations between the parties, the shipowner agreed with the Client’s calculation.
